Eleventh Hour
On the eleventh hour or the eleventh day of the eleventh month, World War I ended. The war to end all wars crashed on until the treaty of The Treaty of Versailles was signed on June 28th 1919. 20 million deaths both civilian and milatary occured.
Try to remember them all at 11:00am. It may not have been the war to end all wars, but it was certainly the war that changed the world.
On other fronts, the afghan for Afghan mittens are chugging along.

What a glorious day, as I post here just past the 11th hour on the 11th day.
On a totally unrelated topic, those $80 cloth bags at Vera Bradley are now $20 and gadget bags are $5. That should get even you out of the Dollar Store for your knitting bags. ;-p

It’s was sad today to see how few are left that fought in that war. Though it’s nature of course.
I fear with every passing generation it’s significance will diminish. That’s natural too I guess.
Which would be great if there wasn’t always another to come along and take up the conciousness of nations and peoples involved in them round the world.
Perhaps if we’re incredibly lucky we’ll evolve past wars and aggression one day.
