Opal 6 ply

Opal 6 ply color 1125. Worked up really fast on size 2 needles. Not Addi size 2 with are a bit larger. Aero size 2 which is 2.50 mm. As you can see there is tons of yarn left for the second sock. Sock is for my daughter who wears women’s size 11/12 shoe. So it is a big sock. She has long narrow feet. I cast on 56 stitches for 1 1/2 inches of ribbing. Increased to 60 stitches below the ribbing. Although you can’t see it, there are three lines of 3 x1 ribbing down each side. This helps to keep the ankle from being baggy. The colors are not quite so bright in actually. The blue isn’t turquoise, but more a denim blue. Great yarn  Posted by Picasa

Bossy Boots aka Fuzzy Feet

This is the Knitty Pattern and the KAL Fuzzy Feet. I did mine in Elann Highland Wool, Tranquil Lagoon for the body and something violet for the cuff. Forgot the name. The slipper kept coming off my foot, so I added a cuff after the slipper was felted. Just sewed it on. It was supposed to be a try out of the pattern, but my daughter liked the color and I had to do another one. I am pretty sure I can knit two of these at once on 2 curcs. Been thinking of something glitzy for the cuff, you know holiday feet. For when the mob arrives to open their gifts, the room filled with pine scent and holiday carols fill the air. We all sit around politely exchanging holiday cheer…Oh wait that is the TV not my house :D I still like the glitzy cuffs and dirty floor color on the foot part.
The top one is unfelted. It is huge, big foot large.
I was a bit nervious about the felting, having never felted on purpose before. But it went fairly well. It took forever to dry.
The pattern
